MyGolfers officially open #WomensAusOpen

 

As the eyes of the golfing world turn to defending champion Nelly Korda, Koeran Jeongeun Lee6, and Aussies Hannah Green and MyGolf Ambassador Minjee Lee this morning, two new names stepped into the spotlight.

Junior golfers from the MyGolf program Maiya Jakupec (14) and Alice Hutchison (12) were selected to open the 2020 ISPS Handa Womens Open this morning as honorary starters from the 1st and 10th tees.

Both girls started attending MyGolf junior programs in 2017 and have consistently attended programs each term advancing through the program.

Maiya, who plays off a handicap of 19 at North Adelaide Golf Club and attends MyGolf programs at both North Adelaide and has recently advanced to on course play by participating in SA Junior Open summer events.

Alice, from Royal Adelaide golf club represented her club in the Term 4 SA MyGolf Junior League.

Both girls were ecstatic when receiving the invitation to open the championship.
